i was looking at a 80's polaris star it seems to be a single cyl 250cc FA sled, would it be ok for my girlfriend to buzz around on? or does anybody know anything good or bad about these? any particular problems to this sled? they seem pretty simple, so hoping maintenance will be easy too. please let me know what you all think?[?]

I would think that she would be a lot happier on something a little bigger to keep up with you and newer with 10 inch suspension. I realize that the 250 is probably more economical, but you don't want to scare her off the sport; for women (I know, I'm one

I rode my kids '84 340 for most of a day last season and thought I was going to die! Couldn't move for days!
If it means saving a little longer before she gets a sled, so be it.
