Any results yet?

I've been holding my breath waiting, and covered all the shades of red and purple so far..

Nope, been holding and holding and holding my breath... I should check Guinness and see if there's a record I'm breaking.

I offer my EFI sled, and I know a place that would be willing to dyno, proven results could be had inside a week.. And once I've proven the results, the dyno guy I'm talking about could test it on darn near every sled in existance inside a few months. (after he figures out the jetting changes necessary from my EFI maps)

When 97spx680 turns down something so simple as using EFI to prove it, without a valid reason, and is evasive as a politician, I will always call BS..

I have the experience of having seen claims like this in other things, not snowmobile related, repeatedly... The old "dazzle them with brilliance, and if that don't work then baffle them with bullshit" routine.. When there's ever a need to baffle with bullshit, there's 99.999% chance that bullshit is involved.

However.............

There is in my mind, .001% chance this guy is on to something, therefore, I do not completely dismiss it off-hand. And even with such a small chance, I will follow something like this to it's resolution, good or bad.

he will be testing it in a few weeks when his heads are done, the reason he doesnt want to mess with efi is that he is also working on carb mods that will make efi pretty pointless.

i will be doing his clutching after his heads are installed. so we will see what changes his heads made.

So how is he going to tell whether or not he has made EFI pointless, without having the heads on an EFI engine then switching the engine to his carbs for comparison?

If he ignores EFI he is denying the ability to actually prove his claims...

the problem with this is he claims that lowering egts with these heads allows the use of lower octane fuel... you want to lower egts go richer on your jetting...timing and compression ratio play a big factor in what octane is required to keep you engine running proper with out spark knock and eating pistons

How's that clutching going?

his heads are done and we are testing next week, he is just working on getting base line info such has egt, o2 readings, things like that.

How did the testing go?
