The Tilotsons came in three basic sizes (I think). HL, HR & HD with the HD being the largest. My guess is an HL = a 28-30 Mikuni, HR = 30-32 Mikuni and HD = 34-36 Mikuni. These are wild guesses and you'll need to verify this.

 

I have the same sled.

I can understand why you would want too, Mikuni are much better.

I believe it can be done?

Problems:
Have to change throttle, choke cables.

You have to change the angle of the carb, to almost straight, and/or change float setting. But those carbs do sit pretty flat, compared to others.

you will need the fuel pump, and then get a source of vacume from the case.

Size of carb????? pretty small.Have to be able to bolt up ot manifold?

Just keep practicing rebuilding th old. LOL
If you find a way to do it let me know, I have thought about it on other sleds, but a lot of hassel.

I would guess the same size as the Tillotson. It won't hurt anything..... shouldn't anyway.
A friend of mine did it to the old Harley, but went with something bigger.
Damn thing still doesn't want to work, though.
Personally, I think its a fuel pump issue.
