Anybody ride the northeastern part of the state? Around Sisseton, Veblen, Sica Hollow State Park, Webster? They have a fair amount of snow around there and are getting more right now. The SD snowmobile webpage says they have a decent trail system around there. Anybody familiar with it?

Webster's trail system seemed alright when I was working up there for a couple weeks. I never brought my sled because there wasn't enough snow. That's been a couple years ago though.

Our trails aren't bad, I'm from webster. they are just groomed ditches. We got a pretty good amount out of this last storm already and it's still going. I went into my buddies field just out of town today and the snow was well over my hood.
I might add that the trails cross some sloughs, and right now the ice is kind of sketchy around here. Me and one of my friends were riding on some ice and we stopped for a minute and it started to crack pretty good, needless to say we got out of there pretty quick.

Thanks. I was thinking that Claire City would be a good place to dump the sleds off the trailer, then ride south and west from there. Webster appears to be at the extreme southwest corner of the trail system.

I just drove from down by the Yankton area to Sioux Falls, took 2.5 hours because of this stupid wind.

Ditches sure look good, we have a field out of the wind thats got about 3.5 feet of powder, sure is fun!

We usually run the Big Sioux between Dell Rapids and Trent. Lotta fun, lots of river bank jumping to be had. Haven't been out since the rain though but it was great before that. There's always a few open spots to look out for though.

What a crappy year for the hills, i have already cancelled two trips and we have a trip over Presidents Day that we never cancel so i sure hope it snows before we go.

Eastern side of the state is having just as good a year, even if its flat land. We had about 4 inches here yesterday and we have about 5 more coming Thursday into Friday. I might as well just ride here.

I knew it was going to be a crap year since i bought a big mountain sled.

Looks like the hills picked up another 6 inches or so. Hopefully it keeps falling out there bout every other day like it has been. We have our trip this weekend and leave Thursday night. Anyone else going out there this weekend?
