Does Tempa-Flow basically make it so you don't have to jet your sled or it just like makes it even better jetted. I am alittle confused.

Thanks

As I understand it, the Tempa Flow allows you to manually adjust for the elevation in which you ride. It will then tweak your jetting for the set elevation range and temperature while you ride. On the other hand, the ATAC automatically adjusts the elevation setting and tweaks your jetting as you ride.

I will be installing a Tempa Flow on my 2003 Polaris 700 sometime this fall and I hope to have some pictures of my step by step progress of the installtion. I will post these pictures on the forum.

Thanks.

Teh tempa flow can be manually adjusted but it isnt going to cover a full range of elevation. It works great for the auto temp adjusting, but if you need elevation adjustment, get the ATTAC.

The Tempaflow is a neet little device for "leaning" your jetting.
This is why you must richen ALL circuts for the coldest temps you think you will ever encounter.
Generaly -20 to-40 is plenty to jet up to and normaly the main jet is all you need to change.
The device can be adjusted manually but only slightly to richen or lean and I think up to 6000'.
Go to the Holtzsman Enginering site and read up on all their devices on how they work and installation.

That's very true, the tempa flow only reduces the pressure in the bowls. If you weren't to jet way down the sled would most likely blow it's cookies in the form of a melt-down.

You have to jet UP, not down. Jetting down would cause a lean condition resulting in a meltdown.

You're welcome [:)]

IMO, it's the best money you can spend on a sled. People are always looking for the bolt on power, but IMO you need to start at the heart of the engine. Give the heart the right mixture no matter what the temp is and you will see a great improvement in you sled.

The biggest bang you get out of a Tempaflow is when the temperature goes UP. Instead of bogging and running rich the carbs stay lean and crisp. I loved that. My 600 xc just ran like a top once I put that in it.

I agree, a tempflow or atacc is some of the best money you will ever spend on a sled. i have run my sled from-35 to +10 with no problem and have not had to rejet since my atacc was set up. sled runs better, with less bog and a little bit better gas mileage. every one who does not jet their own sled and is looking for some power should get one once it is set up the power is always their due to the proper jetting.
