Well everyone, I finally was able to take my 800 xc sp and meet up with some friends who both have the red 03 F7's and trailored with a guy who has a brand new 05 ski doo mxz renegade 800 HO.
Well, before we met up with the F7's in Grand Marais, I was able to race the ski doo. DAHHH thats all I have to say!!! Off the line he ate me alive. Even when we started at 40-50, he just walked away like nothing. My guess is that his 16"x136"x1.75" track helped him off the start A LOT more than my 1 incher. When we got to a long enough straight away, we let them lose next to each other to see top end and I was surprised that he still led!! At 70-80, he never could gain any more on me, but i couldnt on him either.
Once we met up with my buddys in Grand Marais, we lined the 2 F7's up, my 800, and the ski doo. I am HAPPY to say that I DID beat both firecats. Fair and square. It actually was a great match because both of there's had the 1 inch track and neither were studded like mine. Of the start, I took off decently better than the firecats and kept gaining up to 40 or so and then they both stayed even, no one gaining or losing any more ground. We raced 3 times, and the results were the same. The Ski doo took first every time, and by quite a bit on us all.
I was able to ride on all the sleds and I have to admit, (I like all sled brands) the ski doo felt real good and man did it hook up!!! As for the F7, truthfully, I did not like it. You definatly felt the power, but i was more impressed with the POlaris.
Well, sorry for ramblin, just wanted to post some results!!
