I am 15 and my dad has a 2001 ZL 500, that he lets me ride. I offered to buy it from him but he wont sell. When I want to put parts into it I go throgh him first. Anything stupid on the trail and thats the last time I will ever see it.
I keep real good care of it though. Always clean and starts first pull every time all the time.
When I go to colege in 2 years my little brother gets it, If there is one scratch he's dead. He currenty sits on the back of my dads Panther but hopefully I will be able to rube off on him and he will appreciate the sled as much as I do.

thanx guys,i love hearing stories about young people that appreciate what they have. my best memories as a teenager involve sledding with my dad who isnt here any longer. i hope my 13 year old daughter will decide to ride with me and make some memories of me when i am gone.

HAHA i rode a 1971 polaris mustang and a 1973 polaris mustang both of them were 530's

Everysled we own is my dad's and I was lucky enough to get this sled because my dad moved on to his next sled and we didn't wanna get rid of the SRX. I have really taken care of it and many people think I am crazy for taking care of it as well as I do! As I said though, I was lucky to grow up in the business and own a machine like I do.

Well, I'm gonna date myself a bit here.... Started out on a late 60's Olympic, graduated to a 1970 440 TNT (with bogey wheels), 1972 340 TNT (piston eater), 1974 400 FA (fast in the day), 1975 340 TNT in that order. I believe we had the '74 400 FA when I was actually 15. My friends rode 197_ Sno Pony, 1971 440 TNT (with slides), 1973 Rolloflex 440, 1975 340 Olympic, 1977 440 Everest and my all time favorite, 1970 640 Alpine. The Rolloflex and the '74 400 FA were very fast in their day. The Rolloflex would go about 70mph on hard pack and about 25mph in 2" of snow. The Alpine would go 45mph on hard pack and 44.999mph in 6' of snow but you needed 40 acres to turn around. We welded angle iron on sides of the ski to make it turn better.....we flipped it on it's side the first corner we took! :)

I'm probably gonna be riding a Phazer or a Snow hawk when I'm 15. I'm workin for the $$$ right now, but, I think I'm gonna need to be co-signed

well im 15 now and im riding the same sled i have had since i blew my last one up. 1995 Polaris XLT SP with just some mild clutching and gearing done and cosmetics, and i just finished paying it off

I had a mid 80's GT (all black)

Well, at 15, My Dad was given a siezed Alouette 440 Brute Racer, we took it all apart and rebuilt it and he gave it to me to ride when I was able, mind you I had to pay for the fuel/oil and any other parts it needed. There was no Daddy with the deep pockets in my family, We didn't even have a TV until I was 12. So a sled was big time, and we were very grateful to have it.. cheers boys and let it snow. First real snow fell yesturday in Ottawa Ontario, 6 inches.

at the age of 14,i saved up $350 dollars.i was riding my bike around when i seen it in a garage i was passing.it was a 1979 actic cat trail cat 340.i rang the door bell and the man told me it had some(wife)damage and she did'nt want to ride anymore.i gave him my grass cutting money and got it home.i worked the rest of that summer to buy a new ski and fix the hood.the sled was great to me.2 years later i bought a 1980 eltigre(i needed speed).it was free air,but not free of problems(i spent alot of grass cutting money for pistons)from the begining, ive always bought my own sled.so many ignorant kids in this world because everything is handed to them.get a job.....also had a new 1995 440z,1998 600 zr le and a 2002 600 zr le cce.luv them cats....
