XCR HYPER TRIPLE said:
The Mach 1000 is not faster then XCR 800 that I know for sure. The Mach 1000 has 109 - 110 MPH top end across the lake. The 1998 Thunder Cat 1000 is the fastest stock production sled 12.00 second ET at 108mph in the 1/4 mile. A stock T-CAT 1000 world record was 120 MPH in the 1/4 mile on ice.

Cheers

that's really funny. 109 110 across a lake on a 1000 mach-z. come to Gaylord Michigan and ill show you a 1000 mach-z that will do 125mph with 170-175hp with nothing but a can and some studs and bring that xcr800.

I will one better you, you bring your bone stock machine to forest lake and run it in the stock 1000 cc class. you better be able to run a consistant 119 mph in 1000' to even make it to third place. and thats isr stock legal. in a set distance the mach z 1000 twin and f cat are having a hard time beating the f-7. ron bray was trying to play with a stock mach z and had a real hard time getting to 113 mph in 1000' and stay pass tech. it was a far cry from being competitive with the t cat in any class. and as you went with the 1200 big bore in lake racer class they had a hard time getting to 120 while other lake racer 1200's were in the 135 mark. plain and simple the mach z twin and the f cat are not built for top end speed like the older sleds were. they make there power in a different way, makes them great for trail riding and helps get the amazing mpg. if we were talking about trail power it would be a whole different story. but for building speed the new body styles and engine designs just dont help them build top end speed. it is taking the mach z and f cat 500-1000 feet longer to build the same speed. my xcr 800 bone stock i have ran 113 mph in 1000' with a little work she ran a 116 mph and had lots of room to improve on. bikeman has a shoot out every winter and he has his customers with there machz and f cats with the 1200 kits and nitrous show up to help represent. problem is a couple guys with old aggressive frame polaris's and 1200 triples show and and even with no nos shut them down pretty fast. If i had my xcr 800 topend still and setup for ice i would gladly drive out there. maybe next year if I have the storm 1050 running I would be more than happy to bring it out.

two things. One next year when its close to the time of the race let me know, and two, you have to have enough snow to take me out riding off trail in the fluff and not the rough!!

now if you had a machz 1000 triple you would have my respect. thats a whole different ball game. ron bray and emerson stahl are running 135 mph in 1000'. on an isr legal improved stock machine.

Well i know the owner of chopper city mottersports (i think his name is Marv jorgenson) did like 195 mph on one of his modded sleds.
Yea and it was on a 1996 polaris ultra 680 triple.
and if you know him why would you guess at his name?

marvs sled was a custom tube frame machine called jawIII. it had 2 v-6 mercury out boards on it, kinda like a pulling tractor, both had lots of nos and had a little computer control the fuel and nitrous, with a 2 speed air shift like on the harlely pro street bikes.

dont pick on me because i stutter.

Get the radar out, cuz an 03 machz out of the crate will do 128 on radar. a new mach z 1000 will do 130 on radar. I run a FIII with a mach 1 engine and it will hit 120 with only one mod v force reeds. Bring on any srx any day and we will go for pinks. as for an apex they might as well be a fan cooled machine they are so slow.

LOL!!! Bring out the BS METER!!

Cheers

It all comes down to human error. No ones perfect and no machine is built and maintained the same. Best thing would be is go back in time if you could buy the 2 sleds right off the showrooom floor grab a GPS and wind em out on the bay.
Just my .02

Who cares? How about running a trail rally race?
i know hu? all you people are so into the lake drag racing and who has the fastest lake sled, its all fun and all i agree, but the real challange is when it comes to building the fastest and best set up cross country racer!

And you say I know the owner (i think his name is Marv Jorgensen). If I said I knew someone I would be sure of his name. Marv has had the record for top speed on a sled before. Not sure if he still does. You can drive by chopper city and it's listed on the side of his race trailer. The guy also has a boss hoss with 1000 HP...not kidding!

Alright lets cut the shit. The old 1 liter Thundercat was, and is, the fastest stock production sled every made period.

Yupp, that's stock alright!

lol. I hate you guys...
